hey, thanks for the video! I've come across a game for the SNES called "simAnts" that you build your own ant colony and has the goal to populate the world, and they have an encyclopedia about ants, a brief basically about how Ants live and then instead of playing I just kept on reading it, I've always been a bit fascinated by ants. I forgot some information I read that day then I went ahead and asked google about it and that's how I got here. got a recap of what I've read in there! Ants are really cool and really organized.

I started with Oecophylla Smaragdina, I captured a queen still with its wings and she just started laying eggs after ripping her wings off.

I’m sad because I wanted to get a colony but there are a couple problems first my mother doesn’t like dirt in the house which I accept but also there’s just a problem with me catching them I’ve caught them but never housed them properly and sadly they die which makes me sad because I would love to give them a home better than one outside where the queen could die at any moment

At what time of year it is best to try to catch the queen?

I like big ants a lot, but not the half spider ant, they're innocent insects that steals food just to survive, they bite u cuz they're defending themselves and their colony cuz we go near them. :)

My friend Camponotus wants to ask you a few questions about that whole 4-12 week life cycle...

How do unfertilised eggs become male? It's so weird because you'd think they'd be female. It's always puzzled me, like for the bees.

FUN FACT: Male ants are known as Drones.

So, male ants come from unfertilized eggs.
