As a barre instructor, it's always interesting to hear how new people take to Barre. The results you saw physically and felt mentally are amazing! It may not be the huge sweat from running a 5k or a spin class, but the specified work you do in a barre class to tone each muscle group can do wonders for your strength and flexibility (which as you said, makes you carry yourself differently) . I did barre for 4 months and was IN LOVE with it. It helped tone me down so well. As someone who was always into lifting and super high intensity workouts, such a game changer. Glad it worked for you too!

Totally agree. I didn't feel accomplished with Barre, pretty similar feeling with Pilates too. But with Pilates, the reformer and the different equipment made me feel better, especially Cardio Pilates was more of my jam. If you are into HIIT as I am, then you might find Barre a tad bit too slow, dare I say, even boring. I'd suggest do Pilates/Barre during your Luteal/Menstrual phase and during those days you just don't feel like really working out. It helps to get your body moving.
