I don't think it's misleading, but what would be the benefit of this practice? (Genuine question) I could see it cutting costs by having one model but making it appear like you have more, but I'm not sure beyond that.

But what's the point? You're already modelling it? Just delete the background in something like Canva and you'll have the same effect minus the "every generated image is a wasted water bottle" thing on your conscience. You'll have something REAL that is true and not misleading.
