Though both controllers can reach 23km or even further, the RC Pro only needs to maintain at 250m high while RC N1 at 400m.

Don't buy from DJI official website, it takes 3 weeks to ship from international. Buy from Amazon instead, it will be much quicker

Those are some crazy numbers either way. Hard to believe you can push these drones that far away now!

Thank you for testing the actual device as I was curious about the catalog values as they often differ from the actual values.

If you were watching carefully, with RCN1 Mavic3 height was 456m at 23km.
With RC PRO - height 250m at 22.6km !!! For me, this is a huge difference in favor of RC PRO.

RC Pro outputs nearly 2w (1995mw) while the RC-N1 outputs 0.4w (398mw) more than five times less power - FCC power output specs only, bear in mind the weather conditions shown here were misty & damp which does not usually work well at 2.4Ghz or even more so at 5.8Ghz then this range test was quite remarkable - 23km or 14 miles is a huge range which will not be broken by any other drone - mainly down to the fact this drones battery had the staying power to just keep going. Also bear in mind that curvature of the earth starts to play a part at around 14 miles.

Rc N1 better than Rc Pro. Refer to the video Rc N1 can reach 23111 range meter, Rc Pro just 23089meter range

This range test doesn’t mean much honestly. Do the same test in a congested area like a city with a lot of interference that’s where the rc pro shines. Also the rc pro has way better stick control feels like an inspire 2 controller, active fan cooling, great bright screen, less stuff to lug around, the hardware is very good so the screen is super fast. In my opinion anyone with a mavic 3 should sell that toy controller that comes with it and buy the rc pro.

How is this a controller test? This is a battery test, the controller was most likely following the drone in a car. The drone can absolutely not go 20km from the controller

FAKE. I tested it with my mavic 3 pro. The rcn1 get about 10, 000ft before lose signal. The rc pro max at 18000 ft. No way this guy is flying both over 75, 000 ft. Lmao. I am flying in the USA, so its fcc. The dude is inside a car following the drone. That is why he was able to go so far cause the drone only record from where it took off, not how far it is from the controller. Also no one would push it all to way to 20%, cause it would never return home. The only way he push it to low battery is cause he was following it. Then just land where the drone is at and since he follow the drone he is also right there to pick it up. Lmao

The key take away here is the 1000 or 2000 extra for the smart controller is not worth it to most people. At 8 miles to 9 miles out if you are not returning home the drone is not coming back, he went crazy far with no intention of coming home. To get that kind of range from both stock controllers at any altitude is simply amazing. Both are fantastic, I'll likely get the fly more Mavic 3 in a few months once all the features/bugs are worked out, or if they pull a Mavic Air move and release a upgraded version...
