Oil extended its biggest drop in more than five weeks after the European Union softened its proposed sanctions on Russian crude exports and as economic growth concerns weighed on sentiment. Paul Wallace reports on Bloomberg Television.

America to EU: "I have invented a new game."
EU: "Wow...I am most interested. What is it? I can't wait !"
America: "It is a game of digging hole."
EU: "Ohhh...what is exciting about digging holes?"
America: "Well...this is digging holes with a twist. You get scores for being the fastest and the deepest."
EU: "Now I see. Yes, I am in."
America: "Great. I know you would be keen as you have always been to follow us."
EU. "So how do we start?"
America: "Here is a shovel, and here is a ladder. The ladder is for you to get out of the hole."
EU: "Thanks. You have covered all bases, Now if you excuse us...we had better get on with it..."
As the hole get deeper and deeper, deep enough to require a ladder to climb out, America pulled the ladder out.
EU Now panic.."We need that ladder to get out !"
America: "No you don't. You are meant to stay in that hole for as long as we deem necessary. Now keep up with the good work."
EU: "I told you that America is very trustworthy. I am sure that when the time is right, it will put that ladder back in."

WHAT? You gotta be kidding me? I'd ban everything from Russia and into Russia including food and medicines! I'd close the damn phone lines and boot them off the global internet for hells sake... Who's dumb idea was this? If I find any Irish MEP had a hand in this they'll be sweeping the damn streets by the end of the day.
