John Carpenter Reveals His Favorite Films

John Carpenter may not have directed many box office hits, but he’s got more cult classics under his belt than almost any other director. From Halloween and The Thing to Assault on Precinct 13 and Escape from New York, Carpenter mastered horror, action, and science-fiction. He’s also notable as the composer of most of the music in his films—he’s even writing the score for the new Blumhouse Productions Halloween film set to hit theaters in 2018. Hardly original his "favorite" films. Everybody says those. Carpenter has always been a marginal director at best.
