This is a comparison video between F-22 Raptor vs F/A-18 Hornet jets, data that is used in this video are publicly available official data.
The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is an American single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather stealth tactical fighter aircraft developed for the United States Air Force (USAF). As the result of the USAF's Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) program, the aircraft was designed as an air superiority fighter, but also has ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence capabilities. The prime contractor, Lockheed Martin, built most of the F-22's airframe and weapons systems and conducted final assembly, while Boeing provided the wings, aft fuselage, avionics integration, and training systems.
The aircraft was variously designated F-22 and F/A-22 before it formally entered service in December 2005 as the F-22A. Despite its protracted development and operational difficulties, USAF considers the F-22 a critical component of its tactical airpower. The fighter's combination of stealth, aerodynamic performance, and mission systems enable unprecedented air combat capabilities.
The USAF had initially planned to buy a total of 750 ATFs. In 2009, the program was cut to 187 operational aircraft due to high costs, a lack of real air-to-air missions during the Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan at the time, a ban on exports, and the development of the more versatile F-35, with the last F-22 delivered in 2012.
The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine, supersonic, all-weather, carrier-capable, multirole combat jet, designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft (hence the F/A designation). Designed by McDonnell Douglas (now part of Boeing) and Northrop (now part of Northrop Grumman), the F/A-18 was derived from the latter's YF-17 in the 1970s for use by the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The Hornet is also used by the air forces of several other nations, and formerly, by the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels.
The F/A-18 was designed to be a highly versatile aircraft due to its avionics, cockpit displays, and excellent aerodynamic characteristics, with the ability to carry a wide variety of weapons. The aircraft can perform fighter escort, fleet air defense, suppression of enemy air defenses, air interdiction, close air support, and aerial reconnaissance. Its versatility and reliability have proven it to be a valuable carrier asset, though it has been criticized for its lack of range and payload compared to its earlier contemporaries, such as the Grumman F-14 Tomcat in the fighter and strike fighter role, and the Grumman A-6 Intruder and LTV A-7 Corsair II in the attack role.
The Hornet first saw combat action during the 1986 United States bombing of Libya and subsequently participated in the 1991 Gulf War and 2003 Iraq War. The F/A-18 Hornet served as the baseline for the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, its larger, evolutionary redesign.

Oh no, I prefer the F/A-18 to the F-22 Raptor that we easily defeated with our F/A-18. If only the one carrying the plane was TUDM🥰, it would have been easily defeated if there was an air battle, because at that time I saw exactly F-15 against F-22. From my point of view, the F-15 pilot was less experienced than our fighter pilot (🇲🇾). And the impression is that the F-15 pilot always gives in so that the F-22 wins. Come on man, F-22 and F-35 are actually very easy to defeat by our F/A-18 Hornet🥰. Had it been the Malaysian pilots at the time, the F-22s and F-35s would have been defeated, often in kamikaze mode🤭. Come on man, your pilots are indeed inexperienced, because I noticed that there have been very many opportunities for the F-15 to shoot the F-22. remember man, our F/A-18 and F/A-50 are greater than the average of other aircraft. Ohh yes I forgot, that's just the F/A-18 that we dropped already lost badly🤭. Especially if we take out our Sukhoi-Su 30MKM, we will be easily defeated🤭🤭. Very easy to kill F22 & F35. TUDM BERJAYA🎉🎉🎉🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
