Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor versus 18E/F Super Hornet, Plane full specs : The Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22 Raptor is a single-seat, twin-engine fifth-generation supermaneuverable fighter aircraft that uses stealth technology. It was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but has additional capabilities that include ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence roles. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is the prime contractor and is responsible for the majority of the airframe, weapon systems and final assembly of the F-22. Program partner Boeing Defense, Space & Security provides the wings, aft fuselage, avionics integration, and training systems. Fighter Aircraft The Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a twin-engine carrier-based multirole fighter aircraft variant based on the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. The F/A-18E single-seat and F/A-18F tandem-seat variants are larger and more advanced derivatives of the F/A-18C and D Hornet. The Super Hornet has an internal 20 mm gun and can carry air-to-air missiles and air-to-surface weapons. Additional fuel can be carried in up to five external fuel tanks and the aircraft can be configured as an airborne tanker by adding an external air refueling system.

Exactly, plus the new Advanced Super Hornet is semi-stealth and with good avionics as well.

It may eat the super bug alive but you can buy more than double of them for the same cost . . . hope it's hungry

This video is inaccurate as hell. The F-18 was designed, built, and birthed as the swiss army knife of the US military. With a quick disconnect and reconnect of a couple pins, it's entire specs change. You couldn't even get the crew count right. Echos and Growlers(yeah because there's 3 models, not 2) have solo pilots.

Get out of here. We trained foreign military pilots how to fly at 2.4 and you claim our birds only did 1.8??? That's no Harrier, that's an F-18.

How is it that the hornet can climb to 40, 000' faster than the raptor when the f22s engines are way more powerful. Can somebody educate me!!

The Raptor is an air superiority fighter vs the superhornet being a fighter -attack acft. Different uses. The reality is that US fighter pilots are some of the worlds BEST, and pilots in bomb laden F-18s STILL shot down Iraqi Mig fighter jets!

The raptor will eat the super hornet alive but the SH is still my favorite fighter/attack jet.

Boeing is desperately trying to stay alive, with their modified Hornets, in the age of 5th generation fighters taking over and the F-22's specs are still classified! That's why I am "thumbs down" number 3.
