Actually!!!!, very important context on the elden ring DLC review bomb news, if you go to the steam reviews and divide them by language, you will see that the biggest amount of negative reviews is not about the difficulty of the game, but actually the anti-cheat, and most of those reviews come from chinese speaking people!!!! so the review bomb is not about the difficulty, its about the anti cheat from a bunch of people that in theory shouldn't even have access to the game

Its funny, im an older gamer and have been on Steam since the HL2 release. Long story short, in 2022 I took 6 months off work, I had ample time for gaming, perfect time to work on the back catalogue of steam titles, I dont think I played even one of them,

They don't account for the fact that humble bundles exist?? (80% of my hundreds of games are from bundles)
They also DON'T ACCOUNT FOR STEAM DEALS??? (who the hell has a library full of games only purchased at full price)
They also extrapolate this overinflated number to the 90% of private steam account (and I would assume private accounts are more likely to be random steam accounts with no games).
This is just bad statistics all around.

That number is actually a lot lower. I have DOZENS of games I got for free that i Just never played, whether it be a free code from the devs for a game that's now 49.99, or free giveaway codes, or free steam giveaways. I'm sure there's plenty of people who have received games for free and never played them.

I have over 40 hours into the Elden Ring DLC so far it probably is my favorite game of all time. I am so happy that they went all in on the challenge instead of catering to a general audience.
