FYI to anyone who might see this - you CAN get the reading analytics on side loaded books, you just have to convert them to kepub before importing, I did so through calibre with a plugin.

For Sage and Libra 2, It has been discovered that mp3 audio files can be sideloaded as zipped file renamed as .mp3z files. Each file is treated as a chapter.

The estimated reading time menu works for sideloaded books, as long as they are kepub, such as in the books from Stardand Ebooks or EPUB converted using Kobo Touch Extended Driver in Calibre.

Kobo is great as you can copy epub and pdf books without issue. I love my first version of Kobo Libra, is well worth the money for the new version as it has an even nicer screen. The best function on Kobo is that you can scroll up and down on the left side of the screen with your finger for brightness. Its super handy.

Just bought mine last week, have yet to use it properly but got my first book purchase on it and loaded a few PDF and jpeg files. Very nice unit.

As somone with dyslexia this e reader helps so much!!! The font changing and line spacing helps a lot. Mainly the line spacing helps me focus better. Before anybody replies to this comment I did try the dyslexia dont Doesn’t help me much but still. But if anybody has features they know about that help with dylexia tel me

I really like the fluted edge with the buttons underneath. The fluting makes it easier to hold, and having the buttons right there means that you don't have to change hand position to advance the page, right?

I prefer Libra2 but it lacks of Dropbox Support.
At this point, it's pretty lame that Kobo is still using Dropbox as a selling point for their higher-end devices. Cloud-based book storage is a common feature for e-readers nowadays.
it’s annoying as the Kobo Forma/Sage/Elipsa has it but they won’t implement it on the lower end Kobos even though it’s clearly possible.
Their business decisions seem incredibly short-sighted.

I have Onyx Boox Nova from 2018 with 2GB ram and 1.6ghz quad chip. Today I went to a store to try Kobo Libra 2 that just has 512 ram and 1ghz chip.. But it still run much faster than higher spec Nova. I don't know why

This still has a 1Ghz Prozessor? I am glad that in Germany we have the Tolino Vision 6, which is the same Frame and i think the same screen, but uses a Quadcore 1, 8Ghz processor and a different operation system. Has the same price tag as the kobo libra 2 here.

If you could only choose one manufacturer, kobo or pocketbook, what would it be?
The fact that I can sideload my books onto the pocketbook and sync my progress with the mobile app is a big win for pocketbook, but I feel like the kobo wins in every other category.
It really is a tough choice
