The My Little Pony thing is from MLP generation 4.5 which was.. sort of weird but had a potion theme. It was Hasbro trying to transition back to focusing on kids as their main audience after Friendship is Magic ended but before generation 5 was ready to be released. The set specifically was "Let's stick unicorn horns on everything". That's also exactly what G4.5 Celestia looks like btw.

The dissolving bags are made from PVA (polyvinyl alcohol fiber) which is commonly used, as a fabric stabilizer, in embroidery. It's also the same stuff that makes laundry soap pods, and you've used it for decades as "PVA glue"... white school glue. It's non toxic and biodegradable.

Unstable unicorns is a brilliant game where you collect unicorns and betray your friends with curses and attacks in the quest to be the best. I definitely recommend it, it's a ton of silly fun, with lots of evil plotting and laughter.

I love how the character cards for the Unstable Unicorns mystery boxes are the actual cards for the game so you can use them when playing. That is * amazing *

The MLP ones are really disappointing. A few years back, they made blind bags of the characters that were the same size roughly, and you could find them at the dollar stores. Granted, they didn't come in potion bottle shaped packages with blue paper snot, but the packaging isn't worth the extra $5.

The dog and cat are miscoloured versions of Winona (Applejack's dog) and Opal(Rarity's cat). They're actual colours are brown and white, and white respectively.
Not sure who the other ponies are. On the paper it looked KINDA like Rarity (the one after Celestia), a combination of Trixie and Lyra(the blue one you called Shoeshine) and Luster Dawn (the pink one w/ the yellow mane). The all pink one with the crescent moon cutie mark tho, idk. That's pinkie's colour, Rarity's sculpt for the mane/tail and a random cutie mark.

There's actually another set for the Unstable Unicorns! Unstable Unicorns Rainbow Apocalypse. I got one the other day and managed to get Soul Sucking Unicorn, one of the 1/18 chances ones. So there's even more unicorns!

Me and my family play unstable unicorns all the time, I actually sculpted stabby the unicorn for a family member as a gift. The game is so much fun, I would definitely recommend playing it. It gets competitive though and games can last a loooong time. It's a staple for game night in our house.

Oh these ponies are based on the chibi style shorts before gen 5 came out. And I think that new pony is a potion maker in that chibi style show.

I have the unstable unicorn game and it's very fun. There are some cards that aren't worded the best and can inadvertently cause war between the players, but the game devs are good at making notes online to clear the confusion. Outside of that, the game is super fun!

Am I the only one who noticed that it was actually Rarity with Pinky Pie colors? Pinky Pie isn't even a unicorn.
