You can never please your viewers when doing torture tests. If the device passes the torture test you people complain that the test wasn't done strongly enough, and if the device fails the torture test, you people talk about murdering the person who broke the phone.
Honestly, I think that there is no compromise for you people. Currently I own a Nexus 4 (16gb) and I find this video useful since i want to know how versatile my device is.

I'm inclined to believe it's because these tests have gotten to a point where they have no useful purpose. It's not a drop test, scratch test or any similar test from which one can get some mildly useful conclusions; this is just hammering a cell phone until the screen goes off or every inch of it is shattered.

I don't think you understand how the partnership program works. Google doesn't watch every single video and decide if the creator should receive ad revenue from it, the advertisers automatically have to pay when their ad is shown on a video.
