Skypad is definitely awesome. I had all the same experiences as Ottr. The pad is perfectly consistent, it will never wear out. It will be hard to get used to for FPS games at first, but it is for sure an advantage in game over cloth once you put in the time. A sleeve or at least long sleeve shirt are a must.

i have one. you need a sleeve and a hole in it to go over your hand so you don’t get sweat and friction on the pad. but it’s extremely precise when you relearn your skills

Had a skypad for 6 months now but had a bit of a different experience. Leading up to getting the skypad I kept being frustrated by micro adjustments requiring significantly more force to begin mouse movement than it took to keep the mouse moving at a smooth trajectory. So I kept getting faster and faster mousepads but all of them ended up getting high friction zones where I most comfortably hold the mouse. The skypad truly solved this for me. As soon as I switched my kovaaks scores immediately improved. Tracking people feels phenomenal on it and directional change when tracking is so smooth. Considering I never need to buy another mousepad the price is absolutely worth it. One thing to note is that over time the mouse does get a bit slower as the feet slowly get coarser due to the frosted glass. The only downside is any small hair or dust that gets on the pad will be immediately felt so you gotta keep it immaculate at all times. Great review of your experience!

As I asked in the stream yersterday, how much does it differ from just buying a sheet of glass?
I have glass here that is about the right size for a big pad, but is there anything special with a glass pad?

If you use a mousepad with less friction, it makes sense to lower your sensitivity a bit.

Fiannly someone talking about the experience as i was trying to get one myself .. from what i can see, it will require a hell lot of training just to get used to .. but it's a worthy experience to have .. one thing to ask did you change your sens during this journey or kept it as it is ?

great video... i had the advantage of getting a glasspad only a few months after I switched to PC... so i never got too used to a cloth pad. I have to say the glass pad feels like how i thought mouse aiming would be with instant, cerebral reactions.

How often do you need to clean it and does it become stickier when you do? Does it need more maintenance than a regular mouse pad for optimal performance or as much, or even less?

Think about this as lowering your controller dead zone

I remember the same thing or well something similar happen when I switched to glass skates on the x superlight but it's not even close to the skypad the friction is gone but you can still rely on the dead spots on your Standard mouse pad well I might need to switch to a skypad now as well lol

Dude for that Price I could buy enough frosted tempered glass to cover my whole table. And then place any graphic I want in my gaming area.
