The more I keep hearing about this Murthy guy, the more it looks like he's just a crab. Raja may not be the best GPU guy, but at least he's the best Intel's got, and Murthy screwed him over as well.

He also left to help his brother-in-law through some difficult times. Jim Keller is a great man, not just a great engineer.

giant monopolies (intel, microsoft, google) inevitably turn into backstabbing cesspools because quality products are not needed to make money, so talent is not needed to make quality products

Supposedly, the final straw in 2020 was Intel refusing Jim's request to use TSMC fabs for this

Royal Core Failed, so one can say they are Royally Screwed

You don't backstab guy like Jim Keller he literally saved AMD from bankruptcy with Zen.And i think he was also working on Athlon 64 if i am not mistaken a cpu that Intel could only catch up with 1000 mhz higher clocks.

evil turns in on itself. Jim Keller is Gandalf and left to smoke pipe weed and basically all the other white wizards all tried to kill each other.

I said this years ago if you remember Tom, when I called him Jim 'the god' Keller!
I even said Intel should have offered him Swan's job and got rid of Murphy, rather than forced him onto 'personal reasons leave'.

Agree, Jim Keller is one of, if not THE best processor designers on the planet. If he had of stayed until the full execution of the product was realized it would have been a success.

Well the Raka kaduri guy took a family leave from AMD, then resign and next day jooned Intel with all the secrets of AMD graphics division that he can get.
He ain't no victim.

Keller left because they wouldn't abandon their doomed in house fab project. We see how that's going for them now.

Intel is in full on collapse mode right now, so yeah... not good.

What's Jim Keller doing since leaving Intel?

as a life long intel fan i can honestly say im bitterly dissatisfied with 14th gen
what a crock of crap

not only is it a crock of crap but the way they have gaslit and handled it has been absolutely appalling
i’ve lost three 14900k and ks CPUs in six months and gone back to 12th gen

Across 10 years of consuming PC hardware news, interviews, and media, I have yet to come across a single person who is overjoyed to be working at Intel.

Too far ahead of its time. His design would've smashed numerous generations to come.

I'm sorry to say but this is Indian style management. My shipping company switched to an Indian shoreside office team, then Indians started getting employed, then the snitch, look for mistake but never praise culture started. Now CCTV has been installed in the engine room and accomodation onboard. It became so toxic.

Sucks, this was the last Intel product I was interested in. Beast Lake cancelled officially sucks.
