Speed up your editing in Cubase with autofades - tutorial

This tutorial shows how to DRAMATICALLY speed up your editing in Cubase by using autofades to eliminate pops and clicks without having to manually set up fade ins and fade outs for every clip you edit.

Pops and clicks are caused by edits which do not have a zero crossing. The autofade setting in Cubase will automatically create fade ins and fade outs with zero crossings to get rid of any pops and clicks.

What if you use snap to zero crossing and then cut? Wont that solve the problem?

Yeh, , ive used that but isnt there an better way? Just activate 'snap to zero crossing' then your cuts always fall in zero crossing points and you never get pops in the first place.

Is there a way to make a downmix preset that allows you to hear just the side information..?

I currently just use a third party plugin to do this, but I'd like to swap it for a simple key command, if possible.
