Dr Somji explains how to treat Acne| Mild, Moderate & Severe Acne

Показать описание
Acne is a common skin condition that affects many people, particularly during their teenage years, but it can also occur in adults. Acne can be classified into three categories based on the severity of the condition: mild, moderate, and severe.
1. Mild acne: Mild acne is characterised by the presence of blackheads or whiteheads. These are non-inflammatory lesions that occur when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Mild acne can also include a few small, red pimples.
2. Moderate acne: Moderate acne is characterised by the presence of more numerous and more inflamed pimples, papules, and pustules. This type of acne is more severe than mild acne and can lead to scarring if left untreated.
3. Severe acne: Severe acne is the most serious type of acne, characterised by the presence of nodules and cysts. These are large, painful, and inflamed lesions that can be difficult to treat and often lead to scarring.
Mild acne can often be treated with over-the-counter medications, while moderate to severe acne may require prescription medication and/or professional skincare treatments.
