The crazy thing about the golden era of music is that these people can really sing with no studio enhancements. Not just the lead singers but the group singers as well sound better than any artist today guaranteed.

RIP Keith Beaton, lead singer on Sideshow. Your group should have been better known. Loved your music!

IT IS TO BAD THAT WE CAN'T HEAR GREAT MUSIC LIKE THAT ANYMORE. PEOPLE BACK IN THE DAY CAN SING THERE BUTTS OFF. I WAS 17 YEARS OLD WHEN THAT SONG CAME 🎵 OUT. THE SONG BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF MY FRIENDS AND HOW WE USE TO SIT ON THE STEPS AND SING THIS SONG AND MANY OF THE SONGS 🎵 OF THE 1970S. 😊😊😊

I quit trucking several years ago. On my first night of sleeping at home for the first time I woke up to a late night commercial selling old soul music playing this beautiful song. I was like wow had I not quit trucking this song would have been lost forever in my life

BM, Chi-lites, Stylistics, Spinners, Main Ingredient, Barry White, Harold Melvin, Billy Paul, Bill Withers and so many others making beautiful, soulful music back in the 70s. What followed doesn"t compare.

The lyrics are sad but the song is so soulful

Released in 1974 - I was 11 yrs old when this came out. Mom or Dad (not sure which one) brought this into the house and I loved it immediately. Still do! Nothing will ever beat the Soul classics of the 70s.

When I was 9 years- old, I remember dancing around my bedroom to this song. My beloved mother was at the kitchen table drinking coffee laughing and talking to her neighbor. Those were the good ole days beautiful memories.

"WHY DON'T THEY MAKE MUSIC LIKE THIS ANYMORE????"...

Add a like if you think that there should be more good music like this. Cause the music and the generation today sounds nothing like back then.

the whole concept of this song is so creative and cool, they even have that circus theme song in the intro briefly, they are displaying their heartbreak in the theme of a circus sideshow attraction. why can't the newer artists be this creative?? And clean??
