The Netherlands offers formal apology for role in slavery

And, as usual, an apology means nothing unless it is written on the back of a cheque. Taxpayers today must fork out cash for crimes committed two hundred years ago. As a black man I don't see why he should apologise when our own black ancestors were just as involved. They supplied the merchandise. I don't see any African country apologising for selling their fellow brothers and sisters. It is either everyone involved including the African slave suppliers apologise or nobody needs to apologise at all.

Ended in Saudi Arabia in 1960. Not sure what month.
