i've used this for like a year, it is amazing. also i've been using "dual screen tools" to lock my cursor to one monitor so that when i flick i don't go to my other monitors, very useful

Thank you my friend, I had problems with my monitor literally losing its source because I exit cs to the desktop (less in higher resolution) and this will mean a lot to me.

If someone else has still that problem after doing these steps, what helped me (Nvidia Card) was to go to Nvidia Controlpanel -> Change Resolution and then scroll down to use default color settings instead of NVIDIA-color settings.

on Linux, CSGO supports different resolutions on bordered window. No alt tab problems there. That's why I play it on my Linux install, and keep Windows for Valorant, Siege, and Skyrim

In the amd software, you can enable GPU scaling, meaning your custom resolution will get stretched to native by the GPU. Works well for me

OMG I LOVE YOU, i thought this isn't what i was looking for but i found out that i can use 75hz on low res, and it absolutely works, even fixed my audio problem that stopped working when alt tabbing

or just go into nvidia control panel and turn on "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs" in the adjust desktop size and position tab

I'm not sure if Win11 fixed it but alt tabbing is the same for me at 1280x960 and 1920x1080

My resolution on CS:GO is the same of the desktop but the screen still black out for ~1 second every time I'm alt-tabbing the game / clicking out of the CS:GO window...

I'm playing at 2560x1600 and the thing that annoys me the most is the fact that my game ALWAYS puts my brightness to the lowest after I have tabbed out and tab back in.
It also can't be adjusted by a script or console. I need to go into the settings and pull up the slider again EVERY time after I've tabbed out.
