How to fix Valorant (or any other game) freezing when alt tabbing/pressing Windows Key

Still have the problem >_<, it can freeze when alt-tab out of windows, and when trying to get back to the game, everything feeze exept the mouse. And the only alternative is to force-close the computer with the reset button.

this was happening to me in Overwatch, randomly started one day while I was in game after playing with no issue for about a year on this pc. I remember this suddenly happening to me on old PC though, too. no other fixes worked. however when I went to do this fix, I realized that box was already unchecked -- so I checked it, and it fixed for me. maybe some games don't perform well when it's unchecked.

My game was always crashing the moment I alt tabbed since the last update.

One thing to take note of is if you are using other resolutions other than native in my experience it can and will affect ur fps HEAVY.

i tried so many videos and my garry's mod still double black screens on alt tab or windows key :(

guys what i did for myself and worked is that i changed the display mode in-game to ( Windowed Fullscreen )

My pc does this with every game but it freezes my entire pc and I can barely move my mouse and it won’t go away until the task bar or any notifications are gone from my screen and I can’t hit windows key or volume on my keyboard with out my entire pc freezing and it glitches out how do I fix this?

Perhaps, you know why the game (in my case valorant) crashes when my discord overlay decides to run. It crushes at the exact moment I alt tab. (And very often this overlay just doesn't turn on which annoys me because I'd like to see my friends nicknames on the screen.)

So when I play geometry dash and I press the windows key to do stuff off game but the game freezes and I cant exit out of the game at all and I have to turn off pc and turn it back on to get off of it.
