Reset Oil Service Range Rover

This video shows how to reset the oil service indicator on a 2009 Range Rover L322. This reset works on Range Rovers (2005–2009) models L322.

Manual Reset Procedure:
Press and hold the trip reset button on the left of the instrument cluster.
Turn the ignition switch ON to the ignition position two, don't start the car.
If the Service Indicator Interval function is entered, the cluster will say 'SERVICE’ for five seconds and then display ‘SERVICE’ constantly. If the Service Indicator Interval function is not enabled, the information display will show your mileage.
If the trip reset button is released within ten seconds of entering the reset mode, the information display will show ‘DIST’. If the trip reset button is not released after ten seconds, the instrument cluster will exit the manual reset procedure.
If you want to reset the service, press the button on the left of the cluster within ten seconds for five seconds.

On my 2008 it did not work. Held left button in and turned key to 2nd position and continued to hold but no service message or reset would ever appear. Any ideas?

it's now Feb 2021. i followed this procedure exactly and it worked on clearing the oil service message on my 2008 range rover hse.

I believe not all model have that option. I work at a shop and I tried for like 40 minutes and couldn't reset the oil life. I tried doing it using a scan tool and still couldn't do it. I searched for information and found out, it can only be done by using a Land Rover scan tool. I felt stupid when telling the customer I wouldn't be able to reset the oil life. This the first time that happens to me. I have done it to many different cars such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Rolls Royce, Asian Cars and American cars. Thanks anyway for the info.

If you reset this will the car know when to remind you again to do service on it. or do you have to manually do it yourself?

@Wheels tips! Hey man whatsup! My car shows two different messages on the speedometer screen (service xx kms) and (inspection due xx/xx/xx). Your tip worked great for the service reset part but I'm still struggling with the inspection messages. When I start the car now, the inspection message appears. Any advise? How to reset that? Man I guess your car is the only one that does it, I have a 2007 Range Rover Supercharge and I did try both way, just like the other people nothing, nothing at all.
