ctrl+click on a picture of layer make the layer selected when selection is on
43:00 duplicate the word and make it black, filter-blur gallery-path blur to make shadow for the word
45:30 curves layer-auto; alt+click on auto change the algorithm
47:30 use arrows to move the points of curves; + selects the higher point, - selects the lower
50:30 curves make the tone of 2 pictures the same (instead of snap choose 3 colors on picture), click on curves, not on mask, clip the layer of curves to the picture

I'm glad to see that your recovery is progressing and you are able to get back to presenting your usual high quality content.

The tips which I will probably use the most are the spot healing brush blend modes and choosing algorithms for curves.
