Check out these top-rated Brussels Chocolate Tours!

Welcome back to Brussels! This video is a little bit different because we are buying and trying several different types of Belgian Chocolate! Belgians take their chocolate production very seriously, and they are really good at it! We will be trying some chocolates that we purchased near the Grand Place in the heart of Brussels, namely from Neuhaus, Leonidas, Mary, and Galler. Of course we had tried some other chocolates as well, but these are the ones that we kept hearing about, so we thought we would give them a try!

You can always go out on your own into Brussels or Liege or any other city in Belgium to get some great Belgian chocolates, but it might be worth your while to actually go on a chocolate tour of the city and try some that way. Those tour guides know WAY more about chocolate than we do, and they can point you in the direction of some amazing treats! You can check out some of the top rated chocolate tours at the beginning of this description!

If you are interested in our other Belgium videos where we walk around Brussels and have a great time, you can check out the links below. We walked around the Grand Place and took in the old town of this city, tried some amazing Belgian food, got ourselves acquainted with some beautiful churches and buildings, checked out the Atomium, which was a huge structure that was built for the 1958 World Expo, and walked around the entirety of Europe in a day (well... Mini-Europe, anyway). We hope you enjoy!

Interesting. Grand Place is just for tourists. Belgian Chocolate is the pralines and it is very hard to compare, because there are so many ones. So it is not just chocolate. Neuhaus for me is too expensive for the quality. Not bad, but there is way better. Leonidas is a chain store. They are the best value for money. Not the best pralines, but for that price pretty good. I am not familiar with the other two.

What I do when I buy chocolate, I buy truffels and then some mix of whatever they suggest. But you do not buy it as "just chocolate". The praline is what makes it special. It is where all the work is done. And obviously a smaller shop who makes it by hand will be more expensive just due to labour cost. They are something to give with a coffee, after a dinner. Or given as a present.

If you want just chocolate, go in a supermarket and buy something like Callebout. As that is "just chocolate". Just a bar of chocolate. And Cote Dor is also not bad for just a chocolate bar.

I suggest going to Leonidas and buy some choclate truffels and try that. Best if they are from the fridge. Not too cold, but also not too warm.
