What is Audio Description?

If you're struggling to see your favourite television programmes or movies, then Audio Description (AD) may be for you. AD is commentary that describes body language, expressions and movements, making the programme clear through sound.

Honestly i’m glad netflix did this but i wish that they also made it so that a blind person could look up a show on their own, perhaps you need to turn on a blind mode and to press on things they would ask you questions and you would have to answer them, like “which one is your account” “what show will you be watching “ etc

I’m new to this, but if it is truly this important then it’s very fortunate that Netflix has apparently provided this concept to their services. It seems to greatly enrich the viewing experience for those incapable of sight. I personally always wondered how the sight impaired could accurately enjoy a television program or a film. Now I know and can share this information with others who have the same question.

Should audio description have what the actors are saying? Because the actors are also saying it and it's very hard to understand with them talking over each other.
