I'm blind, this is how I turn on audio description on Netflix

When I worked at a movie theater, I offered a young blind girl headphones so she could have the descriptive audio for the movie. She had never used it before so she was really excited. When she came to return them she said she had never experienced a movie like that before and how it was so much better that way. This is why accessibility is so important!

I did some audiodescription on my translation studies. Wasn't my piece of cake, but some students were fascinated and decided to follow this path. I find it very optimistic.

I might end up blind one day due to just eyesight worsening over time, But I am grateful to have a very active imagination and after trying to experience an episode of a show that I like without actually looking at it with the audio setting turned on I was quite pleased with how well it was done what I imagined wasn't exactly what was on screen but it was still a positive experience

I don't know if they have this on other countries but in France in regular free and paid TV channel you have audidescription and subtitles that you can turn on for blind and deaf people. I remember clicking on it by accident when I was kid, I will always notices that it was it because it will describe the actions of what people do on TV and I was always like "what the heck is going on in this movie?" It's does that for pretty much everything minus things that are in live

Do you have to enable audio description every time you open netflix or is that a one-time thing the way it is in the IOS app? Very new to amazon firesticks with Alexa which I assume is what you're using here so forgive my questions.
