When i was visiting my sister up in Oregon, i remember being in the backyard and looking up and seeing an f-117 flying not too far overhead. I didnt hear it until i saw it, and when i heard it, it was way more quiet than any other military jet I've seen. That's what surprised me the most, actually.

Area 51 to me is just a really advanced military R&D site for advanced state of the art technology. The reasons being are 1) The most advanced technology was developed there and you wouldn’t want anyone to figure out where you build your weapons. 2) The designs aren’t patented by the government so they had to keep the blueprints safe.

fun facts: the idea of boomerang-shaped planes existed already and it was known that they had a protection from detection early rada (after the German Wikipedia article the idea came up in 1876 and the first parent came in 1910) The Horten brothers worked in the 1940s with more advanced versions - out of wood if I remember correctly (if I remember correctly to they worked on chemicals for absorbing rada waves too). I am sure the US got the blueprints if not the prototypes from Germany after the war. To the point with rockets: german scientists worked on them since the 20s and the precision (and stability during the flight) was overhyped. And never forget: since the 1900s the technological advancement of mankind got faster and faster. Coupled with captured german scientists, much resources/money and masses of new engineers/scientists from Trumans G.I Bill which included education benefits, we can say America didn`t need the technology of foul Xenos. And the chines helicopter: it is just a design. America built something similar but not as a helicopter.

If the military came up with a vehicle that had a "Field Propulsion System" then, you would have a chance that this technology could be inspired by alien technology since you would probably need Field Propulsion for interstellar travel.
