Just remember something.... anything currently being made public knowledge has been tested and implemented for at least a decade. Also, the excuse me.... "directed energy" weapon was even the subject of a comedy movie back in the 80s, so you know they had already been in development for a while before that.

As someone in the medical field, the MAGIC goggles are a big plus not just to military, but for civilian setting as well

I recall a great story about a custom-software VR headset being given to a soldier who lost his leg. Its sole purpose was to give him the image of looking down and it appearing as if the leg was still there. He obviously knew that it wasn't, but apparently the illusion worked well enough to help him with his PTSD.

Great weapons not only win wars, but more importantly they prevent wars.

“Engineered Living Materials”… That just sounds like the intro to a dystopian nightmare 😮

For my gamers out there what this video pretty much explains is that we’re in the black ops 2/advanced warfare stage and I currently would not mind an exo-suit

The Manta Ray's modularity means not only quick assembly but quick disassembly. Once a mission is completed it can be quickly moved elsewhere by many vehicles, and do the military equivalent of camping: Leave No Trace.

The RFDEW is a crazy weapon invention that was actually based off of a medical device. A device that uses Radio Frequencies called Radio Frequency Ablation, and it works by using the radio frequencies to create intense heat that burns nerve endings in chronic patients, the RFDEW is basically a very scaled up version of this that uses the same concept but instead directs the radio frequency heat ballistically.

I've heard they're in the finally phases of putting freaking lazer beams on Sharks.

Utterly terrifying

Why i love the Americans, advancement in tech that not only wins wars and conflicts but also as precautionary measures, plus the directed energy weapons, like the RFDEW, Plus laser printers.
GREAT WORK 👏👏

That Manta Ray makes me speak out loud in a gravelly voice: "Metal... Gear?!"

Does no one remember the 5th Element's Zorg ZF-1 pod weapon and the lock-on bullets function?

Shouldn't wireless electricity transfer be named TESLA Beaming? 🧐

The smartest people on Earth work for military contractors like Lockheed and Northrop. No one can compete with what they can pay scientists and engineers. That’s why the F35 program cost 1 trillion dollars. No one can outbid them for talent. Plus, they already have the most innovative tech on earth and people know that they will work on the absolute most futuristic tech the world will ever see

Looks to me like the most interesting bits are aimed at either enhancing or destroying logistics capacity, which makes sense. When Russia invaded Ukraine, the name of the game was "blow up the fuel trucks". I think that principle will only become more and more important in the future. The "energy web" and wireless recharging technology are the most fascinating, as it helps make units energy independant, which is quite fascinating.

So what happened to a lead curtain to stop drones/missles/helicopters? Like the Gepard? I would LOVE to see Metal Storm come back as an anti-drone platform.

The homing bullets idea is also seen in Borderlands 3. Atlas makes guns with homing rounds.
