How To Identify The Intermediate & Catalyst In a Reaction Mechanism - Kinetics Chemistry

Показать описание
This chemistry video tutorial explains how to identify the intermediate and the catalyst in a reaction mechanism. It's important to understand that the intermediate and the catalyst do not show up in the overall reaction mechanism. The catalyst is present at the beginning and shows up at the end. It appears first on the left side and then reappears on the right side. The intermediate appears on the right side and then shows up on the left side later. The intermediate is produced first and then consumed later. This tutorial contains 2 example problems for you to learn this concept.

Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an outstanding explanation into How to Identify the Intermediate and Catalyst in a Reaction Mechanism in AP/General Chemistry. The basic practice problems, examples and definitions increase my understanding of Catalyst and Intermediate from start to finish. This is an error free video/lecture on YouTube Tv with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.

This videos help so much! My second semester General Chem course is a flipped classroom (so the teacher doesn’t lecture at all) and these videos show great examples that the textbook doesn’t have.
