Hi Greg, I love the shot at about 1:25 of the Nambour Store showing your father Len Ford in the shot. What a top bloke he was and he was a real character. He and my father were born not far from one another and used to give each other curry about one being a Taffy Puller and the other a Pommie. They got on like a house on fire. I'm sure you miss him. Kind Regards, Ross.

Ive had a renegade compressor for more than 20 years. Still as good as the day I bought it. Want to upgrade with a bigger 3 cyl one.

Still have mine, electric motor taken off and Honda petrol motor fitted, for fielding, test sewer line, then electric fitted and lived on an F100 for builder's nail guns on site, finally another ( 3rd) Electric motor fitted for work shop, the air compressor head has not missed a beat, only once did it stop pumping, loaned it out to a Neighbour to spray a car, the paint mist got into the reed valves, cleaned with turps and now still going, talk about making things last.

I have a renegade 500. Went to shop to buy spare parts. Was told that parts were not available. Need to replace the whole pump.

Gday I brought a NB250 welder off you guys about 13 years ago its had a hard life and its still kicking strong to date the only problems I've had with it was a faulty gas reg and split gas hose all due to being stored in a shipping container in up here in Darwin, the only problem I've got is the LCD has gone out after all these years so I've got no digital feed back, wondering if you could recommend who to contact for parts please

Cheers

Hi Greg,
I have 2 Renegade Compressors, one purchased in 2016 and my older one back in 1992 which is identical to the 2 cylinder one pictured at the 7 second point in your video. My older one works ok but is taking longer to refill the tank. I have kept it maintained changing the oil every year plus cleaning or changing the air filters etc. It has no leaks and hold a full tank of air for weeks if unused. When running I have noticed the air intake vacuum level has fallen, the intake & tank valves are ok, I have had the heads off once and fitted new gaskets a few years ago. I'm pretty sure it needs new piston rings, possibly a rebore. MY QUESTION is, does Trade tools service/repair this model still and if so what would be the worse case scenario cost to reco the 2 cylinders? Also which store in Brisbane should I take it too?

Wow, I'm actually really surprised they put 'em together in AU. Yeah, granted practically every bolt and drop of paint comes from China, but I am surprised they put 'em together here, good on 'em.
Now, why only 2 years warranty?
