The vast majority of people who cover this, WAY over-play it. While Gilmour does indeed put huge bends in this solo, its all smooth and fluid transitions. Same with pick strokes, he does not attack with the pick in a way that draws attention to the right hand and 'picking'. Hard to explain really, but I just see so many folks hammering with the right hand and it takes away from the fluidity and smoothness David had on DSOTM. Well done fella.

This is as perfectly played as I've ever seen. It's just that the tone of the album version appears to be unobtainable. I don't know what kind of magic Gilmour used.

You using 9’s or 10’s cuz Gilmour used 10’s so I’m just curious. Also do you know that if you use a heavier gauge do you still need to bend the same amount or is it less? I’m guessing you still need to bend the same amount.
