Fun Facts: Layne Staley expressed regret over writing some of the songs for Dirt, specifically "Junkhead" and "God Smack," explaining, "I wrote about drugs, and I didn't think I was being unsafe or careless by writing about them. I didn't want my fans to think heroin was cool. But then I've had fans come up to me and give the thumbs-up, telling me they're high. That's exactly what I didn't want to happen." He also admitted that "Junkhead" was originally a pro-drug song, but when put to music and the rest of the album, it became an anti-drug song.
