The fact Layne Staley didn't make Rolling Stone's Top 200 singers of all time is an absolute travesty. Meanwhile, Kurt Cobain is #8 on that list. An all time joke.

Absolutely insane how close this is to the studio version. Layne's voice was a gift from god.

"Dirt" was such a brooding, dark, melodic, heavy masterpiece 🤟

Incredible that after hitting that level of larynx testing ferocity for 5 minutes straight he just says "Thanks a lot" and wanders off...

A voice like silk and sand, Layne was one of a kind

This life version of Junkhead makes me feel things. Heavily.

Let’s take a minute to acknowledge Mike Starr for the perfect head banging and bass playing 1:49.

Gotta give it up to the bassist. Man killed it on this one.

3:06 in my opinion one of the simplest but most badass solos ever

Never gets old . As much as I love bands like Zeppelin AC/DC and Van Halen, their songs get a little stale after listening to them for 25 years and thousands of times . AIC songs never sound stale even after the millionth listen .

That bass tone is incredible. It's funny; living through this era I listened to Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam WAY more than Alice in Chains. Now I listen to AiC MUCH more than the other three combined. Not saying any band is better than another here, just that AiC has maintained my interest a lot longer.

Aint nobody talk about how crazy it is that Jerry plays the lick at the end of the fourth chord in the chorus while singing over it? He was so goddamn synchronized thats crazy
