Personalized Hyperlinks in Mail Merge MS Word

Put individual hyperlinks in a mail merged word document to that your users are immediately able to click through to personalized web pages or landing pages.
This is one of those areas where Microsoft word really needs a fix.
Use the Alt+F9 key to toggle between the quick part and under-formatting and insert your own hyperlink.
This trick has saved me untold hours of extra work and has really improved my customers users experience. Onwards with more word hacks!

I followed your instructions step by step but when I sent the email the link didn't show up. Wondering what the issue might be. I see the hyperlink wording as you show in the video and when I click on the document it says me to the hyperlink but it doesn't show in the email.

Just be aware that when you save your Word mail merge file, it doesn't save the mergefield within the hyperlink quick part - instead, it saves the URL value of the record that you were previewing at the time that you hit save. If you wish to reuse this file later, when you re-open the Word file you'll have to re-insert the mergefield again to allow the unique URLs to be merged from your spreadsheet.
