Interesting, I am quite young and find that Ti wants a complete understanding of any subject I am studying, particularly in the sciences or social sciences. If I am absolutely struggling to learn new material or concepts, Ti child can reject the course completely rather than take in something that cannot be understood. For example, I'll spend 7 hours working on one physics lab when trying to understand everything even though it could've been completed in 4 hours. To prevent this from happening, I often self study the material beforehand so my ideas and reasoning have time to develop. In myself, Ti is slow but present. I also find writing down my reasoning to be beneficial since I sometimes need to start from square one of my thinking and walk myself through the process again. Awesome video! Can't wait for more videos of third slot Ti : )

Im INFJ. I talked to someone who’s INTP. He thought i am an INTJ. LOL I feel so attracted to him while im working. Like I feel like that Ti and i want that Ti. I want to get advantage from that Ti to this project work. And I recognise he also want my Ni. So We work well together. That amazing

Yeah, Wittgenstein’s use of Ti blows every INFJ out of the water haha, but he was a genius. I find Ti to be a rather simple function for myself, where I use it mainly to check for consistency and accuracy. It seems to play a more critical role, by checking the validity of how things are, which is still a rather subjective process, since I tend to be the deciding factor. Any type can do this too, but I do notice it is a skill I’ve honed more over time, and also doesn’t seem to be very present in me before my twenties, where I was mainly intuiting my way through logical problems rather than fully understanding the mechanics and reasoning behind it, which I am better at now, but still am a bit slower to completely grasp. Overall, I’m much more drawn to the hidden meanings I can draw out of a particular subject through Ni than I am, for instance, in scrutinizing its logical framework with Ti.

Very interesting observations on Ti sustainability and our lack of long term endurance with it. I can totally relate with this : some periods of my life have been very "Ti heavy", but they have always been followed by periods of relative "Ti drowsiness". During those periods, i still use Ti quite frequently in my daily thinking, but i kinda "hold it back" and keep it to myself, and i become quite greedy about showing it or explaining it to others. Including my significant other.^^

You start many of your videos explaining that there was some event that triggered your thinking about a certain topic and that reminds me of how I start most of my therapy sessions lol, I always start analyzing stuff parting from the most simple interactions

Ren, I did the keys2cog test today since I’m rather new to type testing other than Myers’s Brigs which I did and am INFJ, having tested twice over 2 months with the same result. With today’s test the result was INFP. I’m not totally surprised being that I am an artist with strong creative drive. However, INFJ is my status quo no matter what I’m being!

I do get INTJ too at times because I do value logic and fairness. I mean I do lean on feelings but sometimes I don't trust feelings or I'd rather back up the feelings with facts, and sometimes I think even though a function might be dominant but it may still not be used correctly, if that makes sense...

On first observing you, you did seem like possibly a Dominant Ti, possibly even Fi user, but on closer observation, just an INFJ in a time of his life, using the hell out of Ti. Great channel. -INTP.

Hi Ren. it is October 20 2023 as I am writing this. I watched this video then went over and took the "Keys" test. When I first took the MB Test, a month ago, I came out with the INFJ result. This morning I went and took the keys test and came back with INFP ?? Then I went back to MB and retook that test again, and came away with INFJ again, on two separate tests a month apart. So I don't know if the KEYS test did anything for my mental health !! ha ha ha

The best that can be said about the keys2cog is something like
“The answers you provide may suggest a correlation with the use of these functions”

I test pretty high on that thing for Ti and Ne (intp) and Eric from twfp seems to think my failure to answer conditional logic questions is indicative of lower Ti. If he’s right that would make that Keys2cognition test seem questionable . (The test saying high Ti but then my actual Ti ability being low)

I didn’t answer the quiz questions to attain a certain result and tried to remove any bias, but I guess anyone could say that

"an INFJ uses Ti for specific uses...in specific instances" (agreed! also agree that it's really not about "how well it is used")
So, Ti, in an INFJ, is selected for a purpose; a means to an end--> Ni... In an INTP, Ti would be an end, in and of itself; "cognitive zenith")

Good distinction on frequency of use of function vs “skill” of use. I tried explaining that thought about that possibility one time but it was sort of hard to convey exactly

I also think than an INFJ with high "Ti" or "enneagram 5" could behave like an "INTP". ;-)
