Congratulations to India. They are an example for the rest of the world. I hope, they share some of their knowledge with Latam, and may be, we also achieve such a great goals as you do. India, and Latam, have more in common, than Latam and Europe: both are sub continents, with rich and higly developed native cultures, and both zones were looted by european imperialists ( Spain, an United Kingdom), both zones have quit similar social issues (extreme poverty, extreme women discrimination, high levels of unemployment, and an extremely rich, conservative and racist plutocracy, etnics disputes), and yet, India has send its space ship to the moon. And they are going to Mars and Venus as well. I hope we may also follow your steps, and even build our owns space stations, or even better build a joint space station with India. I love your opening, the stuff like NY cartoon is the reason why Americans have misconception of India.
It's all about how the true facts and history of India is told to people. The fact is India is ahead but only Britain invasion kept its progress on hold.
Here are the just some of the things India gave to the world:
* Vegetarianism - India stopped living like savages before ice age...while other countries still today kill animal for food. India created thousands of spice and started eating plants only. India was vegetarian before it was cool to do so.
* Yoga - Do I need to say more? Westerners practice this Hindu ritual while erasing its history and origin, trying to take out all the Hindu aspect.
* Meditation - This is also similar to yoga...erase its Hindu origin...Hindus created this ritual which helps not only connecting to Gods but helps with breathing and staying calm.
* Kama Sutra - Educated people on how to have healthy relationship with your partner.
* Zero - Zero was not included in the numeric system until India discovered it.
* Sanskrit - They say computer language is based off of Sanskrit...this beautiful language is also something Westerners are trying to give European credit. Europe has nothing to do with creation of Sanskrit.
The list is longer but I am not going to list them all here. I'm trying to make a point that India is way ahead of its time yet Westerner like to put India down. And they do not teach facts in school and that is one of the reasons why Westerners are not properly educated.
