Roger Ver recently reignited debates about Bitcoin, claiming it was hijacked by intelligence agencies and misused as a digital store of value rather than peer-to-peer cash. Tell me you don't understand Bitcoin without telling me you don't understand Bitcoin.

The original bitcoin had no blocksize limit. Satoshi put it in there temporarily on the suggestion of other devs. Just thought it is important to set the record straight.

7:16 "Roger Ver claims that X is true" "But that's easy to debunk, because X is true." WTF? Make this make sense. He just said Roger was actually right in his claims?? Pure gaslighting

"It can be phased in, like:

if (blocknumber > 115000)
maxblocksize = largerlimit

It can start being in versions way ahead, so by the time it reaches that block number and goes into effect, the older versions that don't have it are already obsolete.

When we're near the cutoff block number, I can put an alert to old versions to make sure they know they have to upgrade." - Satoshi (4th October, 2010).

Mainstream Bitcoin is limited to nothing more than a "store of value" instead of p2p payment ecosystem. Think about it.

You should look into what the DOJ is looking to do with Roger. This can affect all US holders. Check out Lawyer Robert Barnes. The case should be dropped.

Bitcoin doesn't need help to raise its price. It's a special coin, the first of all cryptocurrencies, and is like digital gold. Big investors use it to store their wealth. As long as we have the digital world, Bitcoin will stay on top. Some people wait for the price to go up, but others, like me, trade actively and make profit...managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 27Bitcoin....At the heart of this evolution is Sandy Barclay’s, whose deep understanding of both cryptocurrency and traditional trading has been instrumental. Her holistic approach to investment and commitment to staying abreast of market trends make her an invaluable ally in navigating this new era in cryptocurrency investment.

I do remember that originally bitcoin was being explained as a currency not a store of value worth 1000s like today. That’s what I remember from the available info before it was at $1. So I do find his narrative an interesting one now.

This video demonstrates a shallow understanding of Bitcoin and the original vision of Satoshi. Sadly, the people at Swan are probably unwilling to debate Roger Ver in a public video; if they did, he would win effortlessly. Read Ver's book for yourself and decide. Nothing Swan, Saylor, Ammous, or anyone else has said so far has even vaguely been able to answer his book's arguments.

Roger is right and you're wrong.

Direct quote from Satoshi in 2010 in the Bitcoin forum:

"It can be phased in, like:

if (blocknumber > 115000)
maxblocksize = largerlimit

It can start being in versions way ahead, so by the time it reaches that block number and goes into effect, the older versions that don't have it are already obsolete.

When we're near the cutoff block number, I can put an alert to old versions to make sure they know they have to upgrade." - Satoshi (4th October, 2010).
