Hi,

you should try out the 85 1.4 and than draw a judgment over the 85 1.8 G. The 1.4 is a lot slower in focus speed and this was also the main reason, why I went for the 1.8 G. I was considering the older 1.8 D which was even faster in focusing, although not that accurate in repeated results as the 1.8 G.

I have a nikon D3200 which come with a kids lens 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 but its taking very noisy (bad) image especially when i useing ISO 400 or higher, i decided to buy a new fast, constant ( not zoom lens) which has wide angle it's can be 18 up to 35 aperture f/1.8 something between 600-700 US dollar, which lenses you recommend  that i buy? Thank you.

I have the 35 1.8G, 50 1.8G, and 85 1.8G and IMO they are all very sharp and well-constructed lenses. but to those super professionals and pixel pippers, they are flawed. Let me ask you this, is the subject you are photographing is perfect?. I rest my case.

how about the 85mm f1.4 D? it's one of the best as well.

The 85 1.4 D is as fast in focus as the 1.8 G, but slower than 1.8 D.

If I would not have the 135mm f 2.0 DC, I would have gone for the 85 1.4 D

I agree the Nikon 85mm f1.8G is very slow, much slower than my old Nikon 85mm f1.8D. If I would have known before purchasing I would have stayed with the D. People it's slow.

NIKON 28 1.8 is dog shit to be frank. tired of it . sometimes its not sharp wide open.
