It will be great to have a president who isn’t mentally ill.

Wow. As a former history and government teacher, I just leaped off the coach and yelled out loud when she said that a person who talks about terminating the Constitution "should never stand behind the seal of the President of the United States." Who's with me, Americans? Who loves this country and its Constitution and Bill of Rights? I have supported Republicans in the past. No more!!

Her campaign seems like it’s an anti Trump thing rather than why she should be president. Not hearing any plans or policy’s

I want the party I once voted for to return, until then I am voting for Harris and for any Democrat that runs for congress and Senate.

Cornell is correct. Though I am not a college educated white woman I am a 72 year old Viet Nam era veteran who was thrilled with President Obama. I am over the moon with the Harris/Walz ticket!!!

At this rate, trump won't be having the talking point of getting cheated in the elections. The toddler will be having tantrums inside a jail cell.

It is good to see the people of America unite to defend their country from the looming threat posed by Trump and his followers.

Never Trumpers and Republicans need to vote for Harris-Walz to save the country and constitution, so that they may have an opportunity to vote for their own in the next and subsequent elections! The prospect of Trump presidency desecrating the seal and constitution of the US is too dire to contemplate!

Shame on everyone who thinks that someone as intellectually-challenged as Harris should even be a headteacher, let alone President. This woman is a fool. 😅

I'm one of those awful "Never Trumpers." I've been a Republican all my life. My father was ex-military and a retired police officer. I grew up in a very conservative household. But I went to grade school. When someone on the playground stood up to challenge the bully, and the bully said, "I'd fight you but lucky for you I have my good pants on today." Even the 2nd graders knew what the real story was. So when Donald Trump said, "I'll release my taxes but I'm under audit." Or publicly said he'd release his taxes but in reality fought tooth and nail all the way to the Supreme Court to prevent the public from seeing them, anyone who had any experience at all with people, would immediately recognize what a phony he was. I've worked in the financial industry since 1979. I personally know 5 or 6 guys who have made anywhere from 250 million to a billion dollars. NONE of them talk about how much money they've made. They may talk about the conditions they recognized to make a trade, but they NEVER talk about how big of a position they had on or where they bought and sold. They ALL prefer to keep it under the radar and not draw scrutiny. Bezos, Buffett, and Gates NEVER talk about their wealth. The fact that Donald Trump screams about it, tells you his image is more important to him than anything. He's a phony and nothing in his life has prepared him for public service. He wants to be President merely to collect the status, power and perks of the office for himself. He couldn't care less about policy, the Republican Party, or the American people. To him the Presidency is an award for being born Donald Trump.

Trump isn't true to anything or anyone, except HIS self promotion and HIMSELF.

Anyone who can't see that really needs to wake up.

As a small business owner and a believer in "small government" and the free market, I have considered myself a semi-Republican my entire adult life. The growth of the theocratic wing has pushed me further and further away, however. I would rather argue with my friends about economic policy than see my friends demonized and marginalized by cruelty and stupidity. There was plenty wrong with the GOP before the rise of Trump but the reality now is simply unnerving and insane. I agree with the Never Trumpers: the GOP needs a solid walloping and the nation needs about a decade of therapy to get over the insular fear of small-town Christianity. That's not to say that there aren't issues that are going to make it difficult for Democrats to maintain this weird coalition -- I worry it won't survive the demise of Trump and it really NEEDS to. Rural issues like "one size fits all" ag regulations and water regulation are killing small farmers. The business of America should be SMALL BUSINESS and we need to shape our legislative policies appropriately. I am not excited about a coalition between corporate interests and Left/Center politicians. There IS a role for government to play in supporting the wonderful inefficiencies of small business, home ownership and the middle class. All the moral and ethical standards of Conservatism spring from these. End corporate welfare and bailouts. Hold corporate officers responsible for the behavior of their businesses. End corporate ownership of homes. There is a place and purpose for corporate structures but simply streamlining profit-taking is NOT good enough.
