Closing the gap: accelerating climate action in fragile and vulnerable contexts

This high-level event during the United Nations General Assembly will preview and assess an initial “package of solutions” to close this gap that will be announced at COP28 later this year. It builds on successful examples of climate action in highly vulnerable, fragile, and conflict-affected settings that can be scaled up by 2030 as part of the response to the Global Stocktake, both the first assessment of Paris Agreement implementation and a forward-looking corresponding course correction, which forms the centerpiece of COP28.
