Retrofitting global building stock has been recognised as a critical lever on the path to decarbonising the built environment and achieving net zero by 2050. However, striking new analysis from leading sustainability 3Keel and Kingspan in the second “Global Retrofit Index” has revealed the progress of many major economies is plateauing, or in the case of the USA, showing an upward trajectory.

Over the coming years, accelerating the rate of retrofitting will be a key priority for policymakers and industry leaders, but remains a significant challenge at both a policy and implementation level.

Join some of the eminent voices within the built environment sector as they discuss the findings of the Global Retrofit Index, the global barriers to renovation and the key to a successful retrofitting framework that can be put in practice to reduce building emissions and meet net zero targets.

Speakers include:
• Bianca Wong, Global Head of Sustainability at Kingspan Group
• Adrian Joyce, Secretary General of EuroACE - Energy Efficient Buildings, and the Director of the Renovate Europe Campaign
• Olwen Smith, Principal Consultant at 3Keel
• Sue Arundale, Managing Director, EFCA
