You have to be in Windows insider program to be able to download the not yet released 24H2 that should substantially increase performance for Zen 5 CPUs and Zen 4 and apparently it benefits also Zen 3 5000 series as well, but AMD and Microsoft have released an optional windows 11 update KB5041587 on Windows 23H2 that allegedly includes the necessary performance uplift for AMD CPUs from the 24H2 version(which I'm using in this video) but I couldn't see any performance difference in Wukong or Horizon Forbidden West on 5800X3D.

Looks like it's a 5 to 10% uplift in some games, that's pretty good. I'm on a 5700x3d, looking forward to test this out myself. 👍

I got like 10 fps more in automobilista 2 even if ran higher graphics, a bit weird but very welcome effect after update

The 14900K was never faster than the 7800X3D even when they were using the unstable power limits that caused the CPU's to self destruct. All these tests were done with the newest OS Windows 11 which gave a 10% disadvantage to AMD. I knew there was something up before they started to do deep testing and so I stuck with windows 10 until last week.
.. AMD just might have a lawsuit, it sounds like another Intel conspiracy involving Microsoft. AMD lost billions of dollars over this.

Although testing cyberpunk using the built-in benchmark is far easier and gives more consistent results, it can be really misleading as it doesn't push the CPU very hard. I can go from 90-100fps to barely 70fps using a 5600 when going into city centers

I see more performance but also more temps for the cpu, also more wattage for the cpu/gpu, and less use of ram

Free FPS is always good, we have the same CPU and GPU, I have a 370 motherboard though so hoping to see the same gains.

I'm on a 5800x3d + RTX 3070 and in CP2077 I'm getting 10-15% increase with Win 11 24H2. I'm @ 1440p and have resizable bar on, VBS off, game mode set to "on" in windows, balanced power plan. CP2077 all settings are Psycho or Ultra, DLSS quality, frame gen on (with DSR3 mod), RT On, Ray Reconstruction on, path tracing off, AMD SMT to auto or on in gameplay options. 🤔

lots of your test are gpu limited, you should play games that are very cpu bound or just lower your resolution or settings to the lowest

I think my Ryzen 9 5980HX Laptop should also see an improvement

Its right at the point where it looks like run to run variance, but still could be an actual improvement. did you do multiple runs to verify, or just this one?
