STORYLINE:
Thousands of protesters took the streets of Tel Aviv on Saturday to demand a deal with Hamas to return the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

It follows the killing of Lebanon’s Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was targeted in in an Israeli airstrike in a southern suburb of Beirut on Friday.

Netanyahu said Nasrallah’s killing would help bring displaced Israelis back to their homes in the north and would pressure Hamas to free Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

This event represents a significant escalation in the war in the Middle East, this time between Israel and Hezbollah.

During its Oct. 7 attack, Hamas killed 1,200 people and took some 250 people hostage, according to Israeli authorities, roughly 100 hostages remain captive in Gaza.
