Today we are going LIVE with Prof Danny Dorling to talk about his new book Finntopia with Annika Koljonen. Why does Finland have such a high quality of life? What can we learn from Finland with low rates of social inequality, high rates of air quality, education and happiness.

Great for GCSE and A Level students - teachers and any geographers!

A very interesting chat! I actually read the book before I saw this. Yes! I'll admit it! I am a Finn that likes to read about us from an outside perspective. I do also like to reflect on how could things be done better?
The point about the summer homes, I 100% get! Going to your 'mökki', which is in a permanent state of needing renovation, but still manages to miraculously to limp along. The summer 'mökki' is both an intense place of activity & chaos followed up by the calm of the sauna at the end of the day. Sweet memories!

As an American I completely agree with Professor Danny dorling no country should want to copy what we do here in America. This is a terrible place and getting worse by the year.
