Dude, Why Did You QUIT VAN LIFE❓

I keep getting the question, DUDE, WHY DID YOU QUIT VAN LIFE, so figured it was time to make a video explaining why.

I spent over a year living in a van and doing that van life thing! It was amazing but I left to do some international travel. So did I quit van life? Let's discuss!

My name is Kevin! In 2019, I quit my job to travel full time. I started out traveling the world, hopping from country to country every 30 days. When international travel became impossible, I bought a van and set out to experience van life and full time RV living, camping all over the United States. In May 2021, I sold my van and bought a one way ticket to Hawaii! Soon I'll be traveling interntaionally again...where to? I so enjoy watching your videos no matter where you are (van or otherwise). Seeing people doing what brings them joy is addicting. I type this after spending the morning on the water kayak fishing from a campground in FL. My husband and I could still be working, but figured life is so short we put a plan in place to retire early to enjoy all that brings us JOY. I realize not everyone can do this, but watching channels like yours and Amber from “Story Chasing” I knew we did the right thing for us. So incredibly blessed! completely understand your decision. we just sold our LTV as it wasn't the right van for us and, as you said, it is a sellers market and it was snapped as soon as I put it up for sale - it was only a year old....we ordered a Basecamp still. Safe travels wherever you go and hopefully you will find a van that works for you!

You do what you WANT to do... people will follow you, others won't, and new ones will join with your new content. You need to be happy in whatever you do, and it ain't all about making the most money (although that is always kinda nice!).
When you were scrolling on what I guess was an RV trader website, I could not believe how expensive those assembly line vans were going for! $97k for a 2015 Roadtrek?!? Almost $162k for a Coachmen Nova?!? OVER $223k for a freakin' Coachmen Gallerian?!?!??!!?
That is just insane. Hawaii is looking cheaper and cheaper by the minute! 🤣

Travel channel makes perfect sense. I am still catching up on your older videos. Only so much you can cover in van life. My former coworker retired has been traveling around the world. Working his way for passage. But he refuses technology and his pictures are on film. He pops up in town every few months before walking away. Thank you for sharing and have a great day.
