Hyphen, En dash and Em dash in Word & its shortcut

Hyphen, En dash and Em dash are used to join word or text

You're a great instructor. I had to buy a new computer and it had an updated version of Microsoft Word that changed how to permanently change two dashes to an em dash and, since then, I've been trying to figure out how to do it. I have to use the em dash in my documents for work a lot. I tried to make the change through auto-formatting in Word but it gave me a longer underline, which is not what I wanted. You were able to tell me how to do it correctly, which worked, and I much appreciate it. Thank you so much. I've subscribed in case I need more help.

I’ve tried all three ways for em dash. None work. What am I doing wrong?

I have used all these ways but still doesn't work. I have Dell laptop built-in Netherlands keyboard. I don't know why it doesn't work.
