In my mind whenever someone has to cheat and go back in time to beat someone then they've already lost. They couldn't beat their opponent and have to get them at a more venerable point

Peak of his power: infinity stones

Kang abilities: time manipulation, teleportation, superior level intellect, future knowledge, futuristic weapons, pruning stick, chronal energy, lazer beam, immortal, power redistribution, & cybernetic armor.

Kang's Time travel tech gives him the advantage since he already knows what will happen. Head to Head, Thanos is far stronger. If Thanos has the Infinity Gauntlet, he can also travel through time, manipulate space, and matter. Game, Set and Match Thanos. 6-3 6-1.

The reason that Kang in the mcu is way more dangerous is because there are infinite amount of Kangs. That means if avengers manage to take one of them down only for another one to show up this processe would take place until the avengers would be defeated. Thanos wouldnt travel the realities, he would stay where he is. That makes Kang so much more a bigger threat than Thanos

Comic version has already been decided since Kang admitted he avoided Thanos, but movies version versus is interesting.

We already know what happened when cosmic Ghost Rider travel back in time and try to end baby Thanos. And even baby Thanos was a handful to deal with. So would stand a reason that Thanos would win versus Kane

Separating Thanos from the infinity stones or a similar source of power is like separating Kang from his time machine...Thanos is defined in the comics by his knowledge of and quest for infinite power.

Thanos would bitch slapped Kang to oblivian. Bro, even IF Kang tried to go back In time...Bro, Thanos Isn't affected by It, because Thanos was Immune to that by Death. He also Is also an Intellectual TITAN, the Eternals were Impressed how smart Thanos Is. And please, that one shot where Thanos was grabbed by Kang? That was from an Alternate timeline, so It doesn't really matter. Thanos Is that guy. And the fact that Thanos was able to battle a serious Odin? Or the fact that he was able to beat Black Bolt's scream? Yeah- I'm gonna have to go with Thanos. ( Also, just to show how scary Thanos Is....KANG LITERALLY IS SCARED OF THANOS. I’d say Thanos wins. With the gauntlet ofc. I mean, he can counter Kang’s time abilities with the Time Stone, use the reality stone to take away his time stuff, and the list goes on and on. And in a comic page I saw, Kang is suggested to have feared Thanos bc he called him “Lord Thanos” when Thanos told him to.

By the rules set in the MCU, changing the past won't change the present.
And killing Thanos as a child was even suggested by Rhodey.
