Turbo Tax Review 2016

This year, TurboTax is by far the leader in having a fantastic interface which makes it easy to use, whether you're a first time tax filer or an experienced small business owner.

The big drawback with TurboTax 2016 is simply the price. If you qualify for free tax filing, then TurboTax is great. If you don't, it much more expensive than similar options.

In this video, we show you:
- The great user interface and how TurboTax makes filing taxes easy
- We do a mock tax return and go through the entire process
- We spend a lot of time discussing TurboTax pricing, and why it's difficult to justify, especially if you're a small business owner (even driving for Uber or Lyft)

Thanks for the review. Not to nitpick as your example situation was fictional, but Uber income (as is most self-employment income...) is actually subject to Self Employment Taxes. Social security and medicare tax of about 15% combined is owed on the net profits of that business. I assume that these would be found under that "Business Taxes" you quickly passed by and said probably didn't apply. I'd hate for you or your audience to get audited for that omission and underpayment. Again, great video and thank you.

Thank you for the review. Turbo's pricing beats H&R Block. I pay more than one thousand dollars each year to have Block prepare my taxes. Not this year!!!

They're charging 29.99 for state this year, and they also sneak it into the "free federal" option :/

Just used turbo tax to file and they charge $36 if you want to pay the turbotax software fee with your tax refund. So I ended up paying with a credit card.
