This entire movie is a masterpiece, it has such a unique feel about it, the visuals are surreal, it's like watching someone's memories of their own life but with nostalgic tones, the music is out of this world, the acting, just Leo's face expressions and emotions his eyes convey are amazing to look at, I find myself forgetting that I'm watching an actor portraying a character.

I love Leonardo DiCaprio, Lana Del Rey, and The Great Gatsby so when I saw this scene for the first time, I almost had a heart attack. 😩

Have u guys noticed Leonardo plays in a lot of romantic tragedies like titanic, Romeo and Juliet and this, he's one of my favorite actors for that😪

This is my favorite scene. Leonardo DiCaprio made a PERFECT Gatsby. I'm still so upset he died. I fell in love with Gatsby because when I read the book I pictured Leonardo DiCaprio and it sold it. I'm obsessed with the book and this movie now. I love the movie even though it's different in some parts than the book. ♥

This is one of the most bittersweet scenes I’ve ever seen in a movie. It truly feels like recalling an old memory with someone you loved, now dead and gone. Never fails to choke me up.

I cried so much during these scenes and towards the end... It breaks my heart how everything he did was for HER :'(

And not to mention, Lana del Rey's song "young and beatiful" touched me deeply <\3

Iconic. It makes me want to be free or travel or something, maybe even live back then during this scene. I'm in love with this movie.

I adore this movie, but a part of me breaks whenever I watch it, Gatsby gave his life to protect Daisy, threw elaborate parties to draw her attention, purchased a house across the bay from her own, if that isn't love then what is 💘💫

I deeply disliked how selfish Daisy was in the end. Though I can understand not wanting to leave the wealthier Tom who she had a daughter with. But to not go to the funeral was pure malice on her part. And absolute selfishness.

This scene is abundantly tragic. I feel pity for Jay Gatsby here when he completely turns into a madman while showering shirts on Daisy, not realizing that he's nothing to her. Lana Del Ray's hypnotic voice and the extravagant spine-chilling music with cinematic and colorful background does make the whole scene complete.

Actually Daisy isn't crying for Gatsby, but over the wealth he has now achieved, the same he had been eluded by her before, when he had joined the WWI (he was poor, compared to Tom).
Daisy - here as in the whole book - behaves superficially, only interested in money and physical appearance: Tom is mentioned as wealthy and bulky, reason why she prefers, at the end, to stay with him (with all the benefits, even if her husband is a mediocre person) than to risk with someone supposedly guilty of homicide.

She doesn't cry because she's happy to have met Gatsby again, but because she can't take advantage of his wealth while married to Tom (even in this occasion she doesn't seem to understand that Gatsby has done it all for her).

In fact, at the end of the book/of the movie, Nick states: «“They’re a rotten crowd, ” I shouted across the lawn. “You’re worth the whole damn bunch put together.”».

So Daisy isn't just a pure and disinterested lover as someone would and could misunderstand, but a seductive profiteer.

However, the Great Gatsby is an amazing history that becomes a film masterpiece! :D

This scene is my favorite and is just absolutely beautiful. It’s as if this scene is filled with the few moments Gatsby felt that the pernicious dream of his was finally achieved; living luxuriously with the woman he idealized within reach. The problem is that he couldn’t keep track of time, wanted so badly to repeat the past and could not take life for just what it was in the present. I liked the portrayal of the book put into this movie best over the other two, and the cinematography was just great. This scene in particular gives me goosebumps
