One thing I want to say after studying architecture for almost 3 years now, sometimes is hard to not feel behind when you do your stuff without restless nights. I always prioritized myself before studying, mostly because I'm prone to burnout but also I really like architecture and I don't want to hate it.

hello:) I'm first year student in architecture, and im so exhausted and intimidated 😅 I'm scared of what everyone around telling me, that everything is meaningless and I'm wasting my time and I'll end up disappointed in my salary (and won't be able to buy anything), wich is not making it easier for me. but i try my best. my question is: are you happy the way tou are? you aren't disappointed?

I'm a 3rd yr student, got advanced entry due to interior design and arch tech degrees. Bad mistake because I missed 1st and 2nd year meaning I didn't have the fundamentals so I'm struggling. But it's true, plan ahead, its really intensive, late nights, and nasty tutors. Take care and prepare ahead if you wanna study it.

I started dreaming of becoming an architect since I was 14 years old And now I'm 19 and in my last year of school I'm starting to stress about university I was advised to take business instead of architecture But I dream so much of discovering the life of architecture I watch videos I do research And sometimes I tell myself I'm probably not going to succeed When I see that I have trouble with geometry I doubt my choice and those around me tell me "that architecture is 100% math so subscribe to this dream since you're bad at math" I do research to reassure myself and I know that the studies are hard but this morning I saw a hotel under construction and I immediately thought of architecture behind the plan so I think my choice is correct. And no matter how hard it will be, I will work extremely hard to prove that my choice and my 5-year dream will not be in vain and everything will not disappoint my past self.

i love how positive you are about the experience! most arch school vids I've seen are kind of horribly depressing - i rly wonder whether some of these ppl should be in this career at all😂 but you actually seem to really enjoy what you do and think it was worth it, which as someone at the beginning of the journey is so encouraging to see! thank you for sharing this!

Becoming an architect is my dream. its a field i wanted to be in since i was in second grade literally second grade but a lot of people told me its not good and my parents are worried too that i will have to struggle much more since there is very less scope in architecture and i will struggle a lot but my exams are in 5 days for college entrance and I keep asking myself "Did I do wrong choosing this career path? What am I doing with my life?" now its late to take break try next year because its already my drop year and I am scared that I might hate architecture but I am hoping for the best now and I will try my best. I know that I have already risked it but i really needed someone to assure me that its gonna be ok...

Hello! I'm currently watching videos regarding architecture school, it's a bit intimidating to enter my 1st year. This video has motivated me a bit to look forward to it! I am not quite confident with my structural/building illustrations, but I'm very willing to level up my current skill. Thank you for these tips and amazing video haha! I was scared that my choice of choosing architecture would just ruin my mental health even more, this was very helpful 🙏 for the current time i have i'll study what i can in order to pursue this long intimidating dream of mine! I was once told by those around me to study the field growing up since i was into designing drawing arts. But I only saw the construction work side of it. Took a diffferent route and served. It’s been 20 years of debating to pursue the career path but the difference is that I’m out of school 10 years ago and own a tshirt design&printing shop with a 9-5 trucker job i never thought of. Part of me still wants to design and build nice houses someday.

I don't do an Architecture Degree, but I'm doing an Honours Bachelor degree in Industrial Design and your advice will MOST definitely help me in the future. The drawings may be a little different, but both require the same amount of effort (with varying difficulties) and after completing my first few your advice was very much needed.

I was really struggling to find a career path, especially because all my friends are set on what they want to do. My parents always wanted me to become a doctor (I don't like looking at the human body, like muscles, organs, etc.) or an engineer. I was thinking of becoming an engineer but I never visualised myself doing it for a while or having fun with it. But, I think architecture is something I am most definitely interested in now. It really combines some of my favourite subjects! Love this video because you went through the harsh reality but also some pros. I think i'll definitely go with architecture now :)

Im 11 and watching this video while sketching a redesign of a resturant in my town and im glad people like you help inspire me, sure ive heard the cons of architecture but im really hoping i can be an architect like you in the future.
