Hi my name is Monique. God led me out of Protestantism since three weeks after 39 years in it. I am back to my roots which is the Catholic church. Yesterday I was struggling with confession as I had in my head the same question that this man asked you. God led me to your video. Thank you so much for this preaching. I am so grateful and blessed. I have so many wrong teachings in my head which need to be washed away. I am watching a lot of your videos and others. Thank you for your ministry. Greatly appreciated. May God bless you all. 🙏

Because without an intermediary with authority, each sinner becomes his own confessor and judge.

Our old parish priest explained it for us, ordinary church goers in the most blunt way.
"The protestants say that you can confess your sins directly to God.. Yeah, this is also taught by the church. Pray the act of contrition before going to sleep"
"The question is did HE forgive you? Really? How did you know?"
"Do you think we, the priests, enjoy listening over and over again about the craps you did?"
"Why do we hear confession then? Because Christ COMMANDED us to hear them and to relay HIs forgiveness"
"This is how we know we are forgiven"
I remember after that homily, I have made it a habit to go to confession unlike before when I did go once in a blue moon.

I love listening to _this_ kind of Bible page-flipping teaching. I've sat through various Protestant services trying to keep up with the page flipping, and wasn't getting any connection from one verse to the next. But this makes total sense because it's one solid topic.

Padre Pio bore the wounds of Jesus. He sat on the confessional for hours to hear confession. In my youth I also bought to the "confess directly to God". May God have mercy on me.

Monique again, I am learning a lot from your videos because when I was a Catholic in my youth I never read the Bible and never really learnt anything. I am an elderly French lady living in Australia now. I believe there are a lot of people like me. Continue this great work of teaching what the Catholic church believe. I was taught a lot of lies in Protestant churches. 🙏

I love Mother Angelina's the same senses we sin, we need to hear with those same senses we're absolved of our sins in order to be satisfied/healed and move on. If we don't hear those words then they're a doubt. This is created by God perfectly to help us. God knows our weaknesses and this is a gift from God.

I was listening to the Exorcist Files and the priest said that one confession is worth more than a hundred exorcisms… let that sink in for a moment. Go to confession!!!

Awesome Tim; especially the reference to Act 19:18 - another Biblical arrow for Catholic defense !

Great job!
Question: When Protestant Pastors perform baptism, do they do it by their own power or claim God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) working through them?

If the latter, and God works through the Pastor for baptism, why is it so difficult for them to understand God works through Priests to forgive sin in sacrament of Confession? As specifically presented in scripture.

It’s inconsistent.

BEST explanation I’ve heard thus far 🙌🏻

The clearest explanation that I’ve ever heard. Protestants denied Christ by not accepting the divine authority.

Tim Staples quoting the Bible like a Protestant, but applying it like a Catholic -

I thank you for sharing the verse in Acts, chapter 19 verse 18. This helps me so much! I've been struggling with protestant vs. catholic views on confession.
